VAFC Problems

I was wondering if you guys can help me troubleshoot a problem I have with my controller. I have a OBD1 turbo GSR which at the time of the turbo install, also had the VAFC installed along with other stuff...but the VAFC has worked flawlessly since the install, until recently...

I was pumping gas the other day and being in a bit of a hurry I left the car running while pumping (I didn't want to wait for the turbo timer to shut the car off). I got back in and put the car in gear and that's when I noticed that everything on the screen had froze. I switched between the different monitors and all the screens were frozen. I haven't been able to figure out what caused it and how to resolve it. I know that there is an initialize feature on the controller, but what does that do? Will that help bring functionality back the monitor screen? I can get more detailed into what it isn't doing if needed, but I hope this is enough to help me troubleshoot. Please help me in any way you can.

I don't think it's related to the gas. I would call APEXI.

I can switch between the different screens but the numbers do not fluctuate. I tried to see if it was on peak hold, and that wasn't it.

I agree that the gas has nothing to do with it, the only reason I mentioned it, is becuase it was somthing I don't normally do.

[Four Door GSR]

My friends S-AFC took a crap a while ago. Just shut off for no reason. It was replaced under warranty and the 2nd one goes berzerk for no reaosn every now and then.

They look nice, but the quality isn't all there.

I'm beginning to agree with you Four Door GSR...looks pretty, it's got a lot of useful functions...but quality???

Oh well...still stuck with this problem! Anyone ever call APEXI? All I get is a recording telling me to leave a message and they will contact me...yea sure you'll contact me...

What do you mean by FROZEN? Like you can switch between different screens but the numbers aren't fluctuating?? You sure you don't have it on PEAK HOLD at anytime?? I've gotten confused a few times too when i switch screens and accidentally hit PEAK HOLD and all the numbers freeze..
